President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO, Pat Trippel is responsible for strategically leading the global enterprise to ensure Inventus Power is constantly innovating power systems and is at the forefront of thought leadership for their OEM and contract manufacturer customers across the consumer, commercial/industrial, medical and military & government markets.
Mr. Trippel has a distinguished career that spans over 30 years in the electronics manufacturing industry. Most recently, he was with H.B. Fuller Company as Senior Vice President Market Development. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s Durable Assembly Business which included the Electronics and Engineering Adhesive businesses. Prior, Mr. Trippel was with Henkel Corporation as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Global General Industries business and also served as the President and General Manager of Henkel’s Global Electronic Materials business.
He began his career with Universal Instruments Corporation in sales and was subsequently successful in numerous roles, including sales engineering, regional sales manager and Latin American operations manager. Mr. Trippel then joined Siemens AG where he held multiple leadership positions including Vice President and General Manager of their electronic assembly equipment business and president and CEO of the Siemens Dematic Electronic Assembly Systems.
Mr. Trippel earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and has completed executive development programs at Harvard University, Duke University, University of Chicago, IMD in Switzerland and IESE in Spain.
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Foy brings over 30 years of business experience to Inventus Power. As CFO, he is responsible for the leadership and management of the Finance and IT organizations and plays a key role in the growth and strategy of the company.
Before joining Inventus in November 2016, Michael was Vice President of Finance at Cisco Systems. At Cisco, Michael was responsible for the finance organization that supported the company’s Americas sales organization and its services business team to develop and execute on strategic and operational plans. Michael had several leadership roles of progressive responsibility for finance at Cisco including the Global Enterprise Theater, Worldwide Commercial Finance Teams, and Greater China Theater.
Prior to Cisco, Michael was Finance Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Scientific-Atlanta where he successfully integrated the acquisition of Barconet. Before joining Scientific-Atlanta he was CFO of update.com, a European CRM software company where he successfully co-led the company’s initial public offering on the German Stock Exchange.
Michael started his career in public accounting with KPMG in Chicago and subsequently held financial management positions with Abbott Laboratories, U.S. Robotics and 3Com. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Vice President, Global Human Resources
As VP of Global Human Resources, Nuo Ma leads all HR teams to create and execute HR management strategies that allow Inventus Power to attract, develop and retain the best talent worldwide, while building a culture of engagement, agility and innovation. Nuo also oversees global communications to ensure that the organization is maintaining strong, clear and consistent communication across all locations. She brings over 22 years of Business and senior HR leadership experience to Inventus Power from Henkel Corporation, a multinational Fortune 500 chemical and consumer goods company. During her tenure at Henkel, she designed and implemented a systematic and comprehensive talent management process; elevated the leadership team through organizational re-design, effectively led M&A activities, and promoted improvement processes and enhancements that strengthen the organization’s culture, effectiveness and winning capabilities. Nuo Ma holds an MBA degree from Tianjin University in China.
Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development
As VP of Global Sales and Business Development, Anson Martin creates and executes global and regional sales strategies for Inventus Power. He has held multiple leadership positions of increasing responsibility during his 18-year career with the company, originating at TDI Batteries, Thomas & Betts and Tyco Electronics. Anson builds on his sales, business development, and program management experience gained in Europe, Asia, and the Americas to put new and innovative growth strategies in place, while ensuring customers’ expectations are exceeded with the service and end-product that is delivered. Mr. Martin has played integral roles through several ownership changes, mergers, and acquisitions. He holds an MBA specializing in global management and international marketing and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Vice President, Global Operations
As VP of Global Operations, Laird Carmichael is responsible for leading global manufacturing operations to ensure the company’s power solutions are of the highest quality, safe and reliable, cost effective and delivered on time. He brings over 40 years’ international experience in manufacturing and operations to Inventus Power, including 15 years in the power solutions industry, from companies such as The Harbour Group, Arrow International, Saft and General Electric. Mr. Carmichael has a B.M.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and is part of the Georgia Tech Athletic Hall of Fame.
General Manager, Asia Operations and Sales
As GM of Asia Operations and Sales, Kenneth Yan is responsible for driving the development and execution of value maximizing strategies across the company’s Asia operations to ensure high levels of efficiency, customer service and continuous process & performance improvement. Kenneth brings 17+ years’ operations experience to Inventus Power from companies such as TWS, A123 and Delphi. He is a seasoned industrial leader with a strong technical background, commercial operations experience and international exposure. He holds a master’s degree from Northumbria University in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tianjin University in China.
Vice President, Technical Center North America
As VP of the Technical Center in North America, Chris Turner is responsible for developing and integrating new technology into next generation products and systems. He has over 20 years of multi-disciplined battery industry experience including battery technology development and strategic development of rechargeable power systems from companies such as Sony Ericsson, AER Energy Resources and SAFT Aerospace Batteries (formerly Gates Aerospace Batteries). Mr. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina and holds several patents related to battery technology.
T.K. Wong (KW)
Vice President, Technical Center Asia
As VP of the Technical Center in Asia, KW is responsible for new product development, testing, prototyping, sustaining engineering and regulatory compliance. He has over 26 years of technology and leadership experience with Inventus Power. KW was instrumental in establishing the first SMT line and Auto Insertion Line at the Qingxi, China facility, he founded the Asia Product Development and Engineering team in 2000 and opened the technical center in Guangzhou, China in 2007. KW holds an engineering degree from Sun Yat-Sen University and holds several patents.
Executive Assistant to the President & CEO
Erin Denney-Thompson brings over 12 years of business administration experience to the Inventus Power team. As Executive Assistant, she is responsible for supporting the President & CEO, while developing, executing and driving executive activities across the global enterprise with a key focus on organizational efficiency. Erin holds a Master of Science degree in Communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University.
